Sage Kotsenburg's 'Holy Crail' - X Games with Halldor Helgason
After qualifying for the US Olympic Team at Mammoth, X Games is the last stop for Sage Kotsenburg before heading to the Winter Olympics at #Sochi2014. At the X Games Sage is competing in both Slope and Big Air, where he teams up with Halldor Helgason to keep things Spoicy. About Holy Crail Series: This season we follow Sage Kotsenburg’s Road To Sochi and beyond in his new series, Holy Crail. Qualification for the US Olympic Snowboarding team is based on a series of five events through December and January. In Episode 1 at the first qualifying event, the Dew Tour, Sage lands himself a sixth place finish (as the second highest placing US rider this counts as a second place for qualification). In Episode 2, Sage was at Copper Mountain, Colorado for the second qualification event the Copper Grand Prix. In Episode 3 Sage heads back to Breckenridge for the third Olympic qualifier but the event ends up getting cancelled due to weather. Episode 4 it all comes down to three back-to-back qualifiers at Mammoth. For Sage, qualifying for the US Olympic Team comes down to the last event, and Sage must win to make the team.
